This person is responsible for running the program the committee
decides upon. This person will run the pack meetings. They may also be
in charge of campouts, but not necessarily. This person will be in
charge of all equipment in the absence of an equipment chair. This
person will handle the roster to keep it up to date. Currently this
person is responsible for getting all advancement supplies. This person
is also responsible for signing and turning in all cub applications on
time. This person also may bring concerns to the committee. This person
should strive to have a good rapport with the boys and their parents.
This person may also take on secretarial duties in the absence of one.
Pack 840 frowns upon any relationship between the Cubmaster and
Committee Chair to keep all parties neutral.

This person is responsible for everything the Cubmaster is. This
person should know what is planned at each pack meeting in the event
that the Cubmaster isn’t present. This person may be a
Cubmaster in training.

|
This person is the go between the Charter Org and the Pack. If
any situations arrive between the two they are responsible for finding
a solution that meets the needs of both groups. This person must
sign all adult applications. This person can also with the
approval of the committee replace the Committee Chair. If the
Charter Organization believe a leader needs to be removed then it is up
to the Charter Rep to let the committee know of this. If that
person is the Committee Chair then the Charter Rep will try to help
find a new Chair.

Committee Chair

This person handles all the committee meetings. They are to keep
track of upcoming events and bring them to the committee for
discussion. This person brings pack concerns to the committee.
This person will also with the help of the committee decide on the
program specifics for the pack meeting, events, etc. This person
signs all adult leader applications. This person along with the
committee can replace the Cubmaster. It takes 50% of den parents
to replace a den leader. For exceptions please see Charter
Representative. Sometimes the Committee Chair and Chart Org Rep
are the same person. This is frowned upon if avoidable because
there is no neutral party.

This person is responsible for all correspondence in the pack.
This person will attend all meetings and take notes. They will
submit them to the committee one week before the next meeting.
This way all minutes can be reviewed in case any items still need
discussion. This person will also send all Thank you notes (for
donations), get well cards and letters for summer activities.
This person will prepare the permission forms for all events.
This info will be given them by whomever is in charge of the
event. These permission forms will be e-mailed to the newsletter
editor in time for publication.

Committee Treasurer

This person is responsible for all bank transactions. This person
will pay all pack bills, reimburse all parties for supplies in a timely
fashion (less than 1 week), keep the checking account up to date.
This person in time for the committee meeting will submit a financial
statement of all accounts. This person will also keep track of
all Scout accounts. After each fundraiser and whenever asked for
this person will provide an accounting of all the scout accounts for
both the leaders and the scouts. This person also writes all
checks for registration.

This person is in charge of maintaining the advancements of all the
scouts. This person will also verify that all requirements are
met for all ranks, Webelos pins, Academic/Sport beltloops and
pins. This person will provide the info to the Webmaster for
publication on the Web.

This person is responsible for being fully trained. They are also
responsible to make sure all adult leaders are trained. They may
carry out the training themselves. They will keep copies of all
adult leaders’ member numbers and their training status.

Their responsibility is to attend all committee meetings. They
will help with all events, projects, and whatever else arises.
They support the pack in whatever way possible. They can also
bring concerns to the meetings. Parents who want to help or have
concerns are encouraged to attend these meetings and be a member of the
committee if they desire. The committee members are a vital role
in the success of the pack.

Webelos Den Leader

These people are responsible for each den meeting. They will
provide a quality learning experience within their den. They may
also be the go between the pack and the parents. These people are
responsible for fostering a sense of belonging to the pack. They
should encourage their den to attend outside pack activities.
Once reaching Webelos age they should make every effort to accompany
their boys to Webelos Weekend and Webelos resident camp. If they
can’t attend then a responsible parent should be sent in their
place. The den leaders should attend every committee meeting or
make arrangements to send a parent in their place so that all info gets
back to the pack.

attendance this person is responsible for mailing out those
newsletters. This person should make sure that all information is

Field Trip Chair

This person(s) is responsible for finding out all information for
potential trips. This person then will submit all ideas to the
committee for discussion. Upon approval of the activity and date
this person should give all information to the secretary for making of
the permission forms.

Popcorn Kernel
|
Popcorn sales are one of the biggest fundraisers for the pack.
This person is responsible for attending the training, and organizing
the sales. This includes both ordering the 'show and sell'
popcorn as well as co-ordinating the orders. They are also
responsible for delivering the popcorn to the dens when it arrives, and
getting the money into the district for the orders.

The pinewood derby is one of the highlights of the year.
Organizing it is a very important function, to make sure we have
concessions and a track and trophies for the boys.
