![]() Fall Family Fest Campout - Woodland Trails - Oct 5-7 The cost is $20 for youth 5-17, $10 for adults and $5 for children 4 and under. ![]() Webelos Resident Camp August 2nd - 5th Webelos resident camp is for webelos (dens 3,6,5,&7) and leaders only. It is held at Woodland trails from August 2nd – 5th. The fee is $100, which includes activities and meals. This fee will be broken down into 3 payments. The first payment of $35 will be due April 10th. This first payment is required by April 10th to hold the spot for your child. After that you may keep paying according to the “payment plan” or pay the remaining balance. The second payment of $35 is due May 8th and the 3rd of $30 is due May 29th. You may pay by cash, check payable to BSA or scout acct. Please pay Dianne Akins by the dates listed. ![]() Dayton Dragons game - June 22nd Come and support the Dragons with the cub scouts. Pack 840 will be attending a dragons game on June 22nd. Cost is $9.00 per ticket. ![]() Fishing Derby - June 9th Kettering’s annual fishing derby will be held at Delco Park off of E. Dorothy Lane. Registration begins at 9:30am, derby at 10am. This is a free activity for anyone between the ages of 5-16. No pole? No problem…they will have fishing equipment available for anyone who needs it. Lunch will also be provided by the Kettering Recreation Center. An adult signature is required at registration. This will not be a pack activity, but show your pack spirit and wear your Class B’s. ![]() Cub Adventure April 20th-22nd Get your camping gear out and come camp with us on the weekend of Friday, April 20th to Sunday, April 22nd . There are a lot of fun activities planned and, in short, the kids have a blast. We will depart on Friday from Harry Russell at 5pm and return Sunday afternoon. ![]() Webelos Resident Camp Payment Due April 10th The first payment for Webelos Resident Camp of $35 will be due April 10th. This first payment is required to hold the spot for your child. If you have not signed your child up yet and your child will be going you need to see Dianne ASAP so she can add your child to the count. This will also ensure that we have enough staff coverage.

![]() Pinewood Derby - March 24 10am “Cub Scouts: Start your engines”. Our annual Pinewood Derby Race will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00am. This will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church. It is such an awesome “sport” that the boys have a lot of fun participating in it. This year the scouts will race first and anyone else who wishes to race will do so afterwards. We will also have a concession stand. We’ll have doughnuts and bagels in the morning and Hot dogs, chips and drinks ($2 for meal) for lunchtime. Class A’s, please.

![]() Bowling Party, March 17th Please join us at Poelking Lanes at 2pm. Susan will collect money at the bowling alley after you bowl. You will only pay for the games you play. There will not be any permission slips for this activity.
![]() Scouting for Food March 10th & 17th This is a great way for the scouts to take part and help those who are in need. The scouts will deliver empty bags to houses for them to fill up with canned goods and such. The following week (Mar. 17th) the scouts will go back out and pick up the bags. ![]() Blue and Gold Banquet February 9th Our annual Blue and gold Banquet will be held at West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene (next to Russell) on Friday, February 9th at 6:00pm. This is an exciting time for the scouts because they receive their rank, they are able to perform a skit, eat some yummy food, and most of all we will be able to see our very own Webelos II cross over to become Boy Scouts. This year Pack 840 will provide the food and drinks so all you need to bring is your family. Please let your den leader know how many will be attending in each family. Class A shirts are required.
![]() Perfect North Slopes - January 28th Join fellow members of the Wright Brothers district for a fun filled day of skiing, snowboard, and /or tubing. Perfect North Slopes is located in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, 1hr drive from South Dayton. More information is to come.

![]() Cub Klondike - January 20th, 2007 Our annual Klondike will be on Saturday, January 20th. For you newbies this is where each den pulls a toboggan (no runners, please) from station to station doing different activities. They compete with other dens in their age group. They are given "gold" nuggets for each activity depending on how well they do. The winners have the most nuggets and best time. It's a lot of fun for the boys. Backup date is February 10th.
