Scout Sabbath is coming up on January 26th at 10:30 at Temple Israel.
Leaders have all been e-mailed info if you'd like to attend. A patch and light
lunch comes with the morning and the theme will be on the Ten
Commandments.
Also, traditionally Scout Sundays are held around the February 8th birthday
of scouting. Some churches have it on the 3rd and some the 10th this year.
Please ask your church to have a Sunday if they aren't already. If you can't
get one at your own congregation then consider joining another one. I know St.
Jacob's Lutheran in Miasmisburg will have theirs on February 3rd at the 10:30
service and Christ United Methodist in Kettering (Shroyer Rd) will have theirs
on February 10th at the 11:30 service. You are welcomed to join either of
those. The boys would wear their uniform.

Pack 840 offers scout accounts for all boys who participate in our
fundraisers. Each fundraiser a set amount is designated to each boy who
sells. It may be a percentage (i.e. 10% of sales in popcorn) or it may
be a set amount (i.e. $1.50 for each cling sold). This money is then
placed in an account under the boy's name. That money is then available
for the boy to use for any scout expense. That includes activities,
books, fees, uniforms, etc. A check will be made to the parent upon
presentation of a receipt. The boy may also take the money with him to
Boy Scouts once he has officially joined a unit. The money will be sent
to that unit's treasurer for him. The money can not be transferred to
another Pack should the boy transfer nor will a check be written out to
the boy's family if the boy leaves scouting altogether. |

Parking
Just as a reminder: last year Harry Russell asked us to not park behind
the brick wall in the loading dock/dumpster area. Please park in the
parking lot or the bus loading zone |
